The challenge
Most merchants need custom sections but can't justify hiring a developer for every one. The app needed to be a marketplace where merchants browse, preview, customise, and install sections directly into their theme — without touching code — and pass the Shopify App Store review at the same time.
What we did
- Built as an embedded Shopify app on Remix + Prisma + Shopify CLI
- Designed the browse, preview, and one-click install flow
- Wired section installation straight into the merchant's active Online Store 2.0 theme
- Hardened the app to meet Shopify App Store review requirements and shipped it publicly
The outcome
A live, publicly listed Shopify app that lets merchants pick and install pre-built sections in minutes — published on the Shopify App Store at apps.shopify.com/section-shop.
