The challenge
Deciding whether to move cities is really a financial question, but the data is scattered across a dozen government agencies and hard to compare apples-to-apples. We wanted one place that turns public data into a clear move-or-stay decision.
What we did
- Pulled standardized data for 300+ U.S. metros from Census, BEA, BLS, EPA, NOAA, FEMA and CDC
- Built side-by-side metro comparisons and a purchasing-power salary calculator
- Added a 'Should I move?' wizard, rent-vs-buy break-even, and an interactive metric map
- Made every statistic traceable back to its government source
The outcome
A transparent, data-backed relocation tool that helps remote workers, families and retirees judge whether a move actually makes financial sense.
